About

The Capture Nature Up Close photography workshop will help participants discover the beauty of the natural world in a new way! This engaging workshop is open to all ages and skill levels, there is something to be learned for everyone. We will explore our local Ravine Ecological Reserve and learn how to capture the tiny details that often go unnoticed.

With the guidance of experienced macro photographer, Shannon Erickson, you'll explore the tiny details of nature that often go unnoticed. Learn how to capture beautiful photos with any camera. From vibrant colors to unique textures and shapes, there's always something to discover in nature through macro photography.

Each participant should come with a camera of their choice, cell phone cameras are welcome. If participants have a Digital SLR camera, a macro lens is recommended but not required.

A gardening knee pad will be provided to participants to allow them to get close to the ground without getting their knees dirty. Paper, tissues and tape will be available to teach participants inexpensive ways to diffuse the light from a flash when taking photos.

Sign up today by emailing [email protected]. Please share what type of camera you will use and your experience level.
