About

The Allan Brooks Nature Centre is hosting a BC Culture Days event and invites artists to come to the centre to paint or draw “en plain air” (in the manner of a 19th-century style of painting outdoors), with a chance to win prizes in one of three categories: Experienced, Emerging, and Youth. The prizes for each category will be announced in the near future.

This event will engage the local and provincial community and create awareness of the artists working in the North Okanagan, as well as highlight the incredible beauty of this endangered grassland habitat.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Artists can register at the centre on the day of the event and choose a spot along the trail for the day. At 2:00 PM, artists will be instructed to bring their art up to the centre for guest voting and prizes.

This is a FREE Culture Days event for guests and artists. Come celebrate art and nature with us in our beautiful grassland environment!
