Join us at the museum for an engaging workshop on preserving your cherished family photographs!
Discover the common causes of deterioration and damage, and learn expert tips on how to properly handle, care for, and store your precious memories. Bring your memories and leave with the knowledge to keep them safe for generations to come.
Each individual can bring up to five photographs to be taught how to encapsulated these for protection, easy handling, and sharing with your guests.

The Sam Waller Museum
The Sam Waller Museum is a portal to the past. Enter and experience the rich and diverse history of The Pas and marvel at the strange and eclectic curiosities collected by our founder, Mr. Sam Waller. Today, as a community museum, our collection mandate is focused primarily on artifacts and archival materials that are significant to the local region and Northern Manitoba. The collection not only includes the strange and bizarre, but is also a unique and important record of the natural and cultural history of The Pas and surrounding area.
If you are in The Pas, we encourage you to drop in and explore our exhibits and services. The museum hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year related to history, culture, and art.
Our Curator & Archivist, Kristen Fader, will be hosting this workshop. With a Master's in Art Conservation with a specialty in paper and photographic works from Queen's University, Fader brings a preservation focused strategy to the museum's collections and is always available for the public regarding questions about preserving their own family heirlooms.
