About
Classic diners with checkered floors, chrome stools and red upholstery. The lone drive-in theatre, sitting between farm fields waiting for dusk. Bringing with me my plein air gear, I search out these places looking to capture an atmosphere. Though I do not strive for faithful reproduction, sometimes there is a light quality, something subtle or even exaggerated of which I hope to capture in my paintings.

The Elora Fergus Studio Tour has been operating for 38 years as a free, annual event to celebrate the abundance of exceptional artists living and working in Centre Wellington. Each artist is juried in by an esteemed panel of experienced artists, and we allow a maximum of 40 participants. We advertise our tour in major cities within a 2 hour radius of Centre Wellington.
