About

The Vesna Ukrainian Dance Troupe will be performing on stage during the Provincial Kickoff Ceremony for BC Culture Days in Parksville on Saturday, September 21st beginning at 11 am. This highly energetic team of dancers will perform two traditional dances as part of our Opening Day ceremony. The Vesna Dancers, in their traditional Ukrainian dress, are something to behold. Dancing to classic Ukrainian folk music, they are entertaining and heartfelt in their interpretation of the pride of the Ukrainian people who are struggling to free themselves from the invaders of their beloved country. This is an opportunity for the entire community to show support for the people of Ukraine, many of whom have made central Vancouver Island their temporary home. We encourage everyone to attend and enjoy the performances by the Vesna Dancers.

As an added attraction, the Vesna Group will also be part of our Cultural Village on opening day hosting a Market tent where they will be offering Ukrainian Arts & Crafts, traditional Ukrainian Clothing and delicious Ukrainian food that you can purchase to take home to your freezer.
