Organizer
Elora Environment Centre
Tree Trust is a key program of the Elora Environment Centre. Our mission is to retain mature trees in our neighbourhoods by hiring qualified arborists who bring deep understanding of mature trees to their work.
Through grassroots initiatives and public events, we are working to shift away from the perception of mature trees as hazards or lost causes, instead embracing them as precious assets worth preserving.
The carbon stored by these mature trees means that we are tackling the climate crisis one tree at a time. As of summer 2024, there are eight Ontario Tree Trust chapters. To see if there is a chapter near you, learn more, or support the work we do, visit our website at treetrust.ca.
