Artist Bio:
Jon Shaw is an artist based in St. Catharines, Ontario. He received his BFA from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick in 2008. He focused on developing a unique style that integrates ink drawing and acrylic painting. After graduation, Shaw spent a decade documenting Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The wealth of crumbling brick, wiry cables and overwhelming clutter inspired a series of urban landscape paintings. His work is sought after by significant private collections. Currently, he is developing exciting new work based on the multifaceted landscape of industry and detritus in and around the Niagara region.
