About
Literacy for Life Foundation will be hosting our 7th Annual Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee (GGSB) on September 28, 2019!
The Bee is the hottest competition in the Foothills! This hilarious, action packed event has teams of 3 adults competing in a battle for bragging rights to spelling supremacy as well the honour of winning the Gratest Pledges Raised Trophy and the Gratest Costume!
Historically the Bee is held on Alberta Arts and Culture Days at the beautiful Wales Theatre in downtown High River, adding lots of fun and activity to the day! Outside the theatre children and adults participate in the Foothills Cardboard Challenge and #Kindstones! The 2019 Bee will be the Gratest one ever! We have been selected as a participating charity in the Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, giving us the opportunity to raise funds under the Bee umbrella, matching funds up to 50%.
