All aspiring filmmakers ages 12-18 are invited to join local artist Mackenzie Widdows in these hands-on introductory workshops focusing on how to write a PG-13 script for a short horror film, plus how to make a few props to set a spooky tone.

Participants are encouraged to take what they learn, shoot a 2-minute film on their cell phone, and submit their finished project to the upcoming International River's Edge Short Film Festival held in Mission, BC this October 18th. See festival rules and submission guidelines at filmfreeway.com/MissionArtsCouncil. Deadline for all submissions is October 4th.
