About
Family Saturdays are all about enjoying art, learning new skills, and connecting with one another in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or caregiver, this event is perfect for kids of all ages — and everyone is encouraged to participate, no matter their experience with art.
These hands-on art projects are designed to be enjoyable for both younger and older kids, and parents are invited to join in the creative process, too. The goal is to make art accessible and fun for everyone while fostering a sense of community and creativity. The gallery provides all the materials you’ll need, all we ask of you is to do is show up in art appropriate clothing, get creative, and enjoy the experience.

Vernon Public Art Gallery
The Vernon Public Art Gallery is an important part of cultural tourism in the region, and is a centre for educational and cultural activities in the Okanagan. VPAG hosts exhibits by emerging, mid-career, and established artists working in a wide range of mediums, including paintings, sculpture, video, and installation art. VPAG is the North Okanagan’s largest public gallery, hosting approximately 20 exhibitions per year for public viewing.
The Gallery also offers an Art Rental Program and Gallery Shop. VPAG delivers programming and events for the community including artist talks, film screenings, workshops, and signature events such as Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts, Riot on the Roof and Art After Dark.
