About
Celebrate the harvest season with us on Friday, September 26, at the Art Gallery of Algoma’s Family Fun Day: “Farm in the Fall”! This festive, family-friendly outdoor event is filled with farm-themed art activities and cozy autumn vibes.
Surround yourself with cheerful fall décor—hay bales, pumpkins, and sunflowers—while you get creative with hands-on activities like crafting your own sunflower and colouring a giant farm scene, inspired by the works of William Kurelek and Carol Holmberg.
Don’t forget to snap a photo at our large sunflower cut-out and enjoy even more artistic fun for the whole family!
Come make memories and art as we celebrate the beauty of farm life in the fall—outdoors at the Art Gallery of Algoma!

The Art Gallery of Algoma proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, marking five decades of bringing art and culture to the community. Its permanent collection now features over 5,500 works, with a strong emphasis on Canadian art—from the iconic Group of Seven to Indigenous artists and contemporary voices who continue to shape Canada’s visual landscape. Beyond the exhibitions, the Gallery Shop showcases a curated selection of beautiful, locally made items, perfect for finding something unique and handcrafted. Visitors are also invited to relax at the cozy café, offering breathtaking views of the St. Mary’s River alongside coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
