Artbeat Studio

Artbeat Studio Inc. is a Winnipeg-based registered charity dedicated to promoting mental health, recovery, and empowerment through creative expression. Since 2004, we have provided free, community-based, peer-supported arts programming for adults living with mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide studio space, community, and opportunities for creative initiatives that support mental, social, and economic well-being, while our vision is to foster an ever-growing and diverse community where everyone has the opportunity to create, connect, and thrive through the arts.

Throughout the year, Artbeat Studio operates several ongoing programs that support this mission. Our Artists-in-Residence program offers free studio space, mentorship, and professional development for emerging artists. Studio Central provides accessible drop-in art programming and workshops that encourage creativity, connection, and wellness. Through Upbeat Artworks, our social enterprise gallery and boutique, artists have opportunities to exhibit and sell their work, building confidence, professional experience, and economic opportunities.

In addition to our core programming, Artbeat Studio hosts exhibitions, community art projects, public workshops, and advocacy initiatives that help reduce stigma surrounding mental illness while increasing access to the arts. The event we are applying for aligns directly with our year-round commitment to creating inclusive, supportive spaces where art serves as a tool for healing, self-expression, and community engagement.
