One-of-a-kind Luxury handweaving

“Even as a small child, I remember being fascinated by the colour and feel of fibre as it passed through my fingers. And that has never changed.”

Anne has spent a lifetime working with fibre: spinning, knitting, needlepoint, cross-stitch and, most recently, weaving. Anne began weaving 10 years ago when a friend needed a temporary home for a floor loom. After a busy career as a technology executive, retirement is giving Anne the opportunity to fully pursue weaving from her studio in Elora. Anne likes to work with the finest fibres; sourced in Canada, organic when possible, and often hand spun and hand dyed. She likes to make beautiful things that people will use every day. Scarves and shawls feature predominantly in her work.

Elora Fergus Studio Tour

Here’s your chance to get a look behind the scenes. Take a self-guided tour and meet artists where they live and work. Many artists and craftspeople will open their studios for two consecutive fall weekends.

The Studio Tour is completely free of charge. You’ll get a chance to meet directly with the artists, and often see work not shown in gallery settings. You’ll visit the working spaces of both established and emerging artists, from basements to self contained studios
