About
At the Caledon Creative Arts Festival, join us for a hands on workshop.
Workshops are first-come, first-serve. Registration for the workshop in-person, opens one hour before workshop begins.
Dufferin Foraged Inks facilitates hands-on workshops where participants learn how plants, nuts and berries from our local environment can be harvested and turned into ink. Participants can explore these special inks while creating unique artwork - similar to watercolour painting. The goal is to offer a creative environment where participants can reflect, reset and learn how nature can be both a source of expression and a tool for stress-relief. Participants are encouraged to slow down, observe closely and reconnect with the natural world. This workshop is not only about making art - but also about discovering that beauty and inspiration exist all around us, often in overlooked places. By tuning into seasonal shifts and everyday plants, participants will hopefully leave with new perspectives - as well as ideas for how they could pursue this type of mindfulness activity in their own spare time. No previous experience is necessary.
