One of the highlights of the Deep Roots Music Festival is the "Fresh Beats Rhythm Parade" which takes place at noon on Saturday, September 28th, and includes giant puppets, music, and lots of fun. Anyone may join the parade, and there are workshops prior to the parade in which participants can make costumes and musical instruments, and learn how to manipulate the giant puppets. Part of the main street of Town is shut down for the parade which takes approximately twenty minutes.

Besides the annual Festival held the last week of September, Deep Roots also offers numerous concerts throughout the year, including a series of free summer concerts presented in partnership with the Town of Wolfville.
