About

The Creemore Festival of the Arts runs Friday Oct 4 to Sunday Oct 6 with Artists on Location on Saturday and Sunday 10-4. The festival is a long standing tradition providing a weekend filled with arts and history programming designed to inspire, educate and enrich the lives of area residents and visitors. The foundation of our festival is the showcasing of dozens of artists in studios, business venues, churches, our town hall and on front porches. Visitors are given a map of all the artists locations and information about all the extra programming. This year we are hosting two Indigenous musicians, Tom Wilson and Aysanabee and dancer/educator Gurdeep Pandher. We will have over 50 artists, over 30 artisans, 2 marquee art installations in our town hall, interactive art for all ages, a community artist life retrospective for Jim Harkness, a lasagna dinner and a children's community choir.

We do this in collaboration with artists, businesses, The Clearview Small Halls Festival, Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society members, sponsors and volunteers to provide economic opportunities and enhance Creemore’s reputation as a village dedicated to community programming, creativity and the arts.

Organizer

Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society

Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society is a community based arts group that is committed to ensuring that our artists and local history are kept alive.

We are proud to be the driving force of history lectures, art instruction for children and adults, walking tours, scholarships for students and a range of events that bring the community together. Our annual Festival of the Arts is a highlight of the area’s fall season.

The 2024 Creemore Festival of the Arts strives to bring people together by providing new art experiences through visual art, installation, dance, music, storytelling, and interactive activities that will encourage inclusion and diversity.
