About
This will be our 27th open house and show. In 1991, a group of artists in the community approached the league executive and asked to start an afternoon art class. We have been going strong ever since, with the show becoming larger and larger every year. Over the years, this has become a “must see” event in the community over the years.

Laurier Heights Art Society
The Laurier Heights Art Society has been operating in the community since 1991. It began as an outlet for adults to learn painting skills together. We paint Monday and Thursday afternoons throughout the year. By the second year, we felt that we were ready to display our work and held the first art show and open house. The group is enthusiastically supported by the community league. The art show and open house is well attended each year.
In 2011 we partnered with Edmonton’s Latvian Community (“IMANTA”) and the Laurier Heights Community League to highlight the contribution of Latvia to the cultural landscape of Alberta.
