About

Weyburn's Malayalee Community will be performing a number of cultural dances for us to enjoy!

The Malayali people are a Dravidian ethnolinguistic group originating from the present-day Province of Kerala in India, occupying its southwestern Malabar coast. They are predominantly native speakers of the Malayalam language, one of the six Classical languages in India. It is estimated that over 97% of people from the province of Kerala are culturally Malayalee.

With Malayalee culture being around 5000 years old, they have a rich history to draw from.

With are more than 50 traditional folk dances to choose from, this performance is sure to delight.

Weyburn Art Gallery

The Weyburn Art Gallery is a public art gallery located within the Credit Union Spark Centre. The gallery focuses on visual art exhibitions. Working with the Credit Union Spark Centre, the Weyburn Art Gallery organizes and facilitates a variety of art and craft classes offered by the City of Weyburn. The Weyburn Art Gallery also works closely with the Weyburn Arts Council to create public art works in our city, as well as organizing a variety of art events held throughout Weyburn.
