Dive into the inspiration that drives the works of over 30 artists! Take in dozens of media, styles, and voices that artists use to describe their love for and experience with a world of water. Relaxed, self-paced, and in the heart of beach-loving Gimli this show and sale will give you lots of opportunities to talk to artists, learn about the processes they use, and enjoy the view from the ballroom of the Lakeview Hotel. Join us on Friday, September 26, from 6-8 pm for the opening reception during Nuit Blanche Gimli!

Artists of the Lake is a group of 25-30 artists who live close to and are influenced by Lake Winnipeg. They’ll be displaying paintings, sculptures, photography, glassworks, and more. All working on the theme of life under the influence of a huge body of water, Lake Winnipeg. It's our prairie ocean, our inland sea!

Sharon Cory

Sharon Cory is a talented visual artist known for her large-scale acrylic paintings and watercolors, often depicting themes related to human migration and difficult circumstances. She studied Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba and has been a working artist since then. Sharon lives, paints and organizes art events in Gimli, Manitoba.
