About

Janet Hinkle

Trees have had many meanings in history, from representing life and wisdom to growth and transformation, trees are the silent knowledge keepers of this world and through sculpture, Janet Hinkle intends to highlight their all-embracing presence within our world. Through the use of traditional building materials, Hinkle will deconstruct a tree trunk, creating a juxtaposition between the natural materials often collected with significant opposition and the industries that use natural materials to further evolve human society.
