About

The Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre is proud to host a paid, community based artists-in-residence program, during the summer visitor season, that encourages, supports and showcases Indigenous art and provides an opportunity for the visiting public to engage with First Nation artists.

Join us on Saturday, September 28th for an Open Studio! Artists will be on site showcasing their artwork, demonstrating their art form and sharing their passions for art with the public.

Funding for Shakaat Artist-in-Residence Program is made possible through the assistance of Arts Fund, Department of Tourism and Culture, Minister Jeanie Dendys.

Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre

Situated on the banks of the Chu Nínkwän (Yukon River), the Cultural Centre is a place where we celebrate the heritage and contemporary way of life of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation. As our ancestors did for thousands of years, we welcome visitors from near and afar to gather in our cultural home to share stories and experiences.
