About

For this year's Culture Days, Alberta Printmakers (A/P) will be hosting two events that showcase and celebrate printmaking as an artform and community practice.

These include:

September 16th (11:00-4:00): A/P is hosting Freshly Pressed: Steamroller 2023 — a large-scale celebration of printmaking presented in partnership with RICK RACK Textiles.

During this free event, the public of all ages will be invited to celebrate and experience the connection between printmaking and textile art on a large scale! There will be a hands-on fabric printing activity, a window gallery to view local artwork of all kinds, and a spectacular outdoor steamroller printing demonstration!

A/P thanks event sponsors: Inglewood Art Supplies, Trend Tex, and CJSW

*This event will be held at RICK RACK Textiles 4704 Manhattan Rd SE, Calgary, AB T2G 4B5

September 23rd (11:00-4:00): A/P is hosting a reception and Print Extravaganza for Lasting Impressions: 2023 Members Exhibition — a celebration of printmaking; showcasing the work from over 40 artists from across Alberta.

During this free event, the public of all ages will be invited to celebrate and participate in various hands-on printmaking techniques. Guests can pull their own silk screen prints and make buttons. Refreshments will be provided.
