About

The Little Lake is a community collaborative project and exhibition happening at Salmon Arm Art Gallery from October to December 2019. For two years, people have been attending workshops and work bees to create different elements for this exhibition that celebrates historic McGuire Lake, including waterlilies, cattails, frogs, bees, and the iconic fountain. It's time to put it all together! The installation is an open opportunity for the community to come in and stitch cobblestone pieces together, or make a felted rock to anchor the large felted lake area. There will be plenty to do to make this soft sculpture come together.

Salmon Arm Arts Centre

Salmon Arm Arts Centre is a place where the arts can be exhibited, experienced and enjoyed. The Art Gallery is open year-round Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 4pm. The Arts Centre manages several programs within the community, including Wednesday On the Wharf, Family Saturdays and special collaborative projects. The Art Gallery occasionally hosts exhibitions that are the result of a collective energy toward a certain theme, and that include many participants and contributors.
