Meet us at the Gallery!

The Thunder Bay Art Gallery welcomes you during Culture Days with pay-what-you-can admission from 12:00-8:00PM, Tuesday to Thursday, and 12:00-5:00PM, Friday to Sunday. Be sure to stop by and see what's on!

During Culture Days, visitors to the Gallery can look forward to a dynamic lineup of exhibitions that explore themes of nature, identity, and cultural expression. With our exhibitions rotating throughout the season, be sure to visit our website to discover the exciting works by local, regional, and national artists currently on display.

The Gallery is committed to accessibility throughout the year with $5 admission fees and free admission Wednesdays thanks to support from the John Andrews Foundation.

… reaches over 5,000 school age children through in person curriculum linked tours and hands-on learning opportunities.

… engages over 2,500 students in the region and beyond through a virtual school tour program.

… documents and records our culture, with over 1,600 works of art forming one of the most extensive collections of contemporary Indigenous and regional art held in trust for the community.

… expands the influence of artists, by loaning artwork to other museums and galleries around the world including the National Gallery of Canada and the Smithsonian Institute.

… welcomes over 20,000 visitors each year including residents, national and international tourists.

… hosts artist talks, lectures, demonstrations, and outreach sessions including hybrid livestreamed events.
