About
The Yorkton Blackout Poetry event is an ongoing, DIY way to participate in Culture Days 2023!
It is easy to follow the steps and a great way to show your culture and experience other participant's!
1. Stop by Yorkton Public Library and pickup your blackout page from one of our selected titles.
2. Select the words that will make your poem on that page.
3. Use a marker to black out all of the other words leaving only your poem, made from someone else's work!
4. Return your blacked out page to Yorkton Public Library where they will be displayed.
5. Come on back and see what other people have created. Share in each other's creativity, culture, and celebrations.
Selected pages will be displayed on our Facebook page so Yorkton and the world can see how creative we are, how rich our cultures are, and how much we love to celebrate.
