Organizer

Richmond Youth Honour Choir

The Richmond Youth Honour Choir is a premier choral program for children and youth in Richmond and the Metro Vancouver area. Their mission is to provide premier choral training, including musical literacy, vocal technique and a repertoire that goes from classical, Broadway, Pop, Jazz and World Music. We also provide a variety of performance opportunities, from our own annual concerts to collaborating with other arts organizations and concerts, Festivals and touring. The RYHC has toured BC, to Ottawa, to Richmond's Sister City, Wakayama, Japan and surrounding areas, to Namibia, and South Africa for the World Choir Games in 2018. Our touring choir is collaborating for our 20th Anniversary Season with the Fraser Valley Children's Chorus and returning to the World Choir Games in South Korea in July 2022 where we will not only participate in the Games, represent Canada in the Parade of Nations, but have been invited to be part of the Festival Choir in the Closing Ceremonies! What an incredible way to celebrate our coming 20th Anniversary Season and celebrating coming out of this Global Pandemic. The RYHC is committed to the health, safety and well-being of all their choristers and their families. We are proud to share that we remained active this year without any incidents of infection in our choirs.
