About

Join the Museum of Antiquities and the Vatnheim Vikings for an afternoon of Viking culture. Visit a Viking camp where you will learn about Viking daily life through crafts, games and story-telling. Meet Vikings in-person and learn what a typical day in Viking culture was like. Hands-on activities include a variety of hands-on crafts, games such as Hnefatafel and Kubb, as well as crafts for the kids!

The Museum of Antiquities is located in the historical Peter MacKinnon Building on the University of Saskatchewan Campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The Museum exhibits replicas of ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, ancient Near Eastern and medieval sculpture, as well as original artifacts including coinage, Roman glass, and pottery. The Museum of Antiquities runs educational and outreach programming year round for all ages focusing on ancient and medieval cultures of Europe and the Near East.
