The Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Cemetery Heritage Walking Tour is an event created on behalf of the Brant Railway Heritage Society, bringing the history of the village to life.
Small groups, of approximately 12/15 will be participating in a guided tour through the old part of the cemetery. Stops will be made at the graves of historical persons where hopefully descendants in period attire will tell the stories of their ancestors. Following the tour, we will gather at the Mt. Pleasant Community Centre, for refreshments.
Hear the story of a War of 1812 vet, the story of Willy Winer Cooke, killed beside General Custer at the Little Big Horn, and more !!
Each participant will need to register ahead by contacting
[email protected] . Small groups will leave at 1/2 hour intervals. Please select your time of 6:30pm, 7:00pm, or 7:30pm and the date of October 4th or October 11th. In the case of pouring rain , the outside event will be cancelled. Thanks!
Free but donations to the Brant Railway Heritage Society are welcomed.

The Brant Railway Heritage is a not for profit organization exists to preserve the railway history of Brant and Brantford, and help educate the public of the railway; past, present and future.
We intend to do this through the restoration and relocation of the Mt. Pleasant LE&N railway station.
