Kick off October with creativity! Follow the First Friday Art Trail on October 3 to the Open Studios of these accomplished local artists in Vernon and Coldstream. Their studio doors will swing open and invite you in. Wander through their cozy creative spaces, chat with the artists, ask them questions about their work, understand their creative process and see their art in person.

You’ll meet a vibrant mix of creatives: acrylic, oil, and encaustic painters, potters, a jade carver, stained glass artist, cyanotypes, artists galleries, and so much more. Every stop adds its own spark to this colorful community celebration.

First Friday Okanagan

Our purpose as a casual, loosely connected group of artists is to collaborate and promote each other through a monthly event called the First Friday Art Trail. The event is for art education, connection with the community and promoting each others work.

By opening our studios, we invite our neighbours to participate in a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and connection. The vision is to have art organizations and individual artists open their studios and create an art presence and awareness in our city and make First Friday a thing that people recognize and support. The First Friday Art Trail is a free event that takes place on the first Friday of every month.
