About
Nikki Shawana is Odawa and Potowatomi from Wiikwemkoong, Manitoulin Island. She has been hoop dancing for over 20 years. Nikki has traveled to pow wows across North America. Along with teaching the Anishinaabemowin language, she also teaches pow wow dancing to her students at Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Nikki loves to share and teach people about Indigenous cultures through dance and other various forms of art.
