About

A workshop about podcasts -- what they are (since local podcasts are quite new in Yorkton), why there is interest in podcasting by audiences, and the opportunities for, mechanics of, equipment requirements and cost of and available support for those interested in podcasting.

The purpose is to expand knowledge of and interest in podcasting, for both audiences and potential podcasters, and discuss the types and topics of podcasts that may be of interest to a local audience.

Organizer

Dick DeRyk

Yorkton Stories is a twice a month podcast that looks at Yorkton past and present. It is researched, written and produced by Dick DeRyk, former Yorkton This Week co-owner and editor, and owner and operator of other businesses in Yorkton over the past almost 50 years.

The podcasts can be heard at yorktonstories.ca where they are accompanied by photos, links and other information associated with each podcast topic.
