About

The Richmond Art Gallery's Artist Salon series is a free monthly program for emerging and established visual artists to learn and discuss opportunities with arts professionals and artists, either online or in person. Each session hosts a different guest presenter who offers professional development advice, practical tips, and inspiration for artists to keep on making their work. The group also exists as a Facebook group for postings of artist opportunities, calls and local events within the Lower Mainland.

The September Artist Salon session features exhibiting artist Vanessa Brown who will discuss her work in the field of sculpture in the cities of Vancouver and Berlin. She will also share insight into working with other artists and collectives, and her experiences working in various metal studios.

Session Format:

-This event is a free online presentation hosted on the Zoom webinar platform. Registration is required to attend.

-Auto-generated live English captions will be made available during the event.

-Participants are invited to ask questions during the discussion via the Chat feature.

The Artist Salon program is supported by the 2022 City of Richmond Arts and Culture Grant.
