The Whitby Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of history and heritage, and to generating public interest through a variety of community outreach and educational programs. The Whitby Historical Society operates the Lynde House Museum, sustaining an extensive collection of historical artifacts, and acts as an archive for both the written and pictorial history of Whitby and Southern Ontario.
