About
Take yourself on a self-guided tour of Milton’s vibrant murals!
Part of the Exclusively Inclusive Art Project, each piece celebrates diversity and inclusion. Discover how ordinary spaces have been transformed into public art. Funding for this Project was provided by the Government of Ontario.
Growing There continues Linh’s exploration of heritage and ecology, blending tropical fruits with species at risk in the Halton region. The King rail, Louisiana shrike, and white wood aster emerge among bright depictions of tamarind and lychee, weaving together two worlds of belonging—Vietnamese and Canadian. The mural suggests that just as fruits may be elusive, cultural traditions too can fade if not nurtured. With playful imagery and layered symbolism, Growing There celebrates unconventional yet beloved foods, while also honouring the delicate balance of the natural world. It is both a tribute and a call: to cherish diverse flavours, to notice overlooked species, and to keep alive the knowledge that connects us across generations and landscapes.
