About

The Dauphin Rail Museum houses over 100 years of artifacts pertaining to the rail service in the region. Most prominent display is an HO model rail depiction of Dauphin from 1950's. There are uniforms, tools, pictures of local rail history of the Dauphin region, a motor car (jigger), and a geographic display of steam/diesel era (1954 - 1965). There is also a PSC Caboose and a roundhouse & amp; turntable (one of the few left in Canada). The Museum tells the history of the railway for the area, the Canadian Northern Railway and later Canadian National Railway. The Museum is looking for donations of relevant artifacts for the museum's collection.
