About

Students will explore multiple Museum galleries and expand on their understanding of human rights in Canada. Students will be challenged to think critically about Canada’s human rights history and its ongoing impacts, reflecting on what role they can play in Canada’s evolving relationship to human rights.

Program messages:

- Our understanding of human rights in Canada continues to evolve.

- Human rights have not always been upheld in Canada.

- People living in Canada have a responsibility to advance and protect human rights.

Museum Highlights Tour for 75 minutes for the following times:

10am (English), 10:30am (French), 11am (English), 11:30am (English), 12pm (English), 12:30pm (English).

In total they can accommodate 150 students, so sign up is first come first serve.

maximum of 25 students per group + adults.

The adult-to-student ratio is 1:15.

Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is the first museum solely dedicated to the evolution, celebration and future of human rights.

CMHR is honoured to receive you on the Indigenous Ancestral Lands on Treaty One Territory and the birthplace of the Metis Nation.
