Join renowned Poet and Surrealist Artist Eusebro in a creative and interactive discussion about his new series of artworks and poetry that will be part of his next International Rizaliana Art Tour Year 28, set to travel again in major cities in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania in December 2024 and beyond.

Eusebro recommences the core of Rizalism in a new tenet and whimsical approach. Still embodying the legacy of Rizal’s creative outpouring as its impetus, the new series brings to the fore Eusebro’s visual exploration traversing indigenous with Western culture. Philippine colonial history is thrusted in a new light that impels the viewer to reevaluate, rethink and reimagine with humour the values intertwined and embedded in Rizal’s own oeuvre. Each piece breathes animateness to the ethos of humanity in order to underscore Rizal’s teachings that still echo to this present day and age.

Originally launched in 1996 as the commemorative centerpiece of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal’s martyrdom centenary, Eusebro’s series has grown and continues to expand over the years to many of his other exhibitions, namely, “Birth of Freedom,” “Requiem for Rizal”, “Alay Kay Rizal (Tribute to Rizal),” “Rizal and Independence”, “Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not)”, and “Centennial Art Tour”, all of which were exhibited and toured around the globe.

Eusebro’s International Rizaliana Art Tour is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.

Eusebro is the Creative Director of Creating Art, Making Peace(C.A.M.P.) Program. Eusebro’s “Remember Why” is the first book of poetry published in English by a Filipino Canadian. Eusebro is the senior editor of Kultura Canadian Multicultural Magazine of the Arts, recipient of Human Rights Media Race Relations Award. Eusebro is the recipient of Distinguished Service Medal of Rizal from the Supreme Council of the Order of Knights of Rizal. Eusebro’s teleplay, Ka Elias, which was inspired by Rizal’s novel, Noli Me Tangere, unanimously won the Best Drama Story trophy from the Catholic Mass Media Awards for Television (CMMA).
