Broadway and Back - Interactive Tour
Across from Dairy Queen
41 Broadway Street West
Yorkton, SK
“Broadway & Back” is a interactive video walking tour that can be taken on your smartphone. Simply load up the tour and set off to explore Yorkton’s historic old town center. The tour functions closest to an audio tour, with a more in depth approach to the history through a video lens. Participants can watch as history comes to life through the merging of present day video and archival photographs. It closely follows and can further be enhanced by the Pioneer Ways and Bygone Days guide book, available through the City of Yorkton. The tour starts on the southwest side of the Baker Tilly building (located at the intersection of Broadway Street and Myrtle Avenue) and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Thank you to SaskCulture for Culture Days sponsorship.
