About
Tap into your creative spirit in September and October as Coquitlam joins communities across Canada in celebrating Culture Days from Sept. 22 to Oct. 15.
Culture Days is an opportunity for hands-on, interactive events that invite the public to the behind-the-scenes world of artists and creators. At the heart of Coquitlam’s Culture Days programming this year is an Indigenous arts and culture event on Sept. 23 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Town Centre Park Community Plaza. Enjoy a vibrant performance and an engaging workshop:
• Wild Moccasin Dancers An intertribal dance collective that express their gifts through songs, dances and storytelling.
• 2 Métis Women – An interactive workshop presenting the ancient skill of finger weaving. Participants will not only learn how to finger weave using the Métis technique but also the importance of intertwining culture with modern day.
