About
Opening Welcome – The Crossing: Community Heritage Day
Join us at 11:30 a.m. in the historic Knox Sixteen Heritage Church as we begin The Crossing: Community Heritage Day. A community welcome will invite all present to share in this celebration of heritage, reconciliation, and belonging. The opening will begin with a Prayer and Hand Drum Song led by Tyrell King, member of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, honoring the land and its stories. It will also include greetings from the Town of Oakville. This moving opening will set the tone for an afternoon of discovery, culture, and connection in Lions Valley Park.
