About

Back to Nature!

Presentation of my book 'Nursery Rhymes'.

My other event:

Children will recite one rhyme each from my book Nursery Rhymes which is on fifteen flowers. The motive is to bring them back to nature and hone their creative skills too. They have chosen their flower and are more than eager to recite the poem!

Post session, each of them will be gifted a flower of the same rhyme and a pouch of seeds which they will sow. They would also pledge to take care of it.

See you all!

Organizer

Liza Nanda, Professor, Canadore College, Brampton.

Hello and welcome!

My name is Liza Nanda. I am a PhD in English Language and Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. I have authored 3 books and translated one. I am a multilingual, an avid reader, a theatre artist, a painter and play 'algoza' which is a folk instrument from Punjab, India. At present, I am working as a Professor at Canadore College (Brampton and Mississauga campus).

My main motive on writing the book Nursery Rhymes was to introduce our children to the beautiful world of flowers; thus bringing them back to nature. I have also organized a "Tree Plantation Day" with my students back in India

The event would have fifteen children reciting a rhyme each on their choice of flower and will promise to take care of it and the species.
