A special Culture Days celebration and workshop that will introduce participants to the wonderful collection of ancient and medieval coins at the Museum of Antiquities. From the ‘owl’ coinage of Classical Athens, to the impressive portraits of the emperors of Rome, to coinage of kingdoms from the Middle Ages, participants will get to see these wonderful artifacts and learn about their importance in the everyday lives of the people who made and used them.

Welcome to the Museum of Antiquities! Featuring a collection of Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Near Eastern sculpture in full scale replica including the Charioteer of Delphi, panels from the frieze of the Parthenon, the Venus de Milo, as well as original ancient glass, pottery and coinage, the Museum of Antiquities on the University of Saskatchewan campus offers a rare opportunity for anyone interested in art or antiquity.
