About
Presented in celebration of Ontario Culture Days 2025.
Join various 401 organizers for a collaborative short film screening event!
From 1:00 - 1:45 pm, Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival will present a special screening of Tweetations Revue, introduced by Executive Director, Elie Chivi. This short film follows a charismatic cast of songbirds who take flight on a musical journey through a vibrant show, creating a fantastical celebration of cultural heritage and artistic brilliance. Learn more about the Inside Out festival, year-round initiatives, and stick around for a brief talk-back with the film's director Fraser Collins, after the screening.
From 3:00 - 4:00 pm, the organizations of the 401 Commons are teaming up to present a free screening of SERIOUS BIZ, a programme of short films contributed by each org and curated by Kelly Lui (Reel Asian) and Kaitlynn Tomaselli (imagineNATIVE). There will be brief introductory remarks from the curating team prior to the screening.
Organizer
Inside Out and 401 Commons
For 35 years, Inside Out has brought Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community together in celebration of the best queer film from Canada and around the world. Through our annual Festival in Toronto, our filmmaker initiatives, our youth engagement and our year-round events and screenings, Inside Out is engaged every day in challenging attitudes and changing lives.
The 401 Commons is a co-working collective consisting of five arts/cultural organizations: FADO Performance Art Centre, imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, South Asian Visual Arts Centre (SAVAC), Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, and Vtape. Together, these organizations represent an amalgam of cultural practice – spanning media arts, visual arts, performance art, and video art distribution services. We share presentation and archival spaces, reinforcing commonalities and leveraging synergies into a vibrant and dynamic creative space with year-round programming.
