About

In conjunction with Culture Days and House for Sale exhibition, join regional artist and illustrator Linda Laforge as she creates a digital animated drawing accompanied by an original narrative exploring the varied definition of home and community specific to lived experience and regional characters. All are welcome.

Linda Laforge paints and writes climate fiction. Her work has been published in anthologies with Guernica Editions and won the 2022 Elmvale Sci-Fi Fest writing contest for The Giant that Would Transform the World. The novella Ashes was published in 2013. Linda was a member of the Barrie Arts Committee and is a founding member and organizer for Word Up, a local all genres reading series since 2014. Her paintings have been shown at the Barrie Art Club, the MacLaren Art Centre and are currently in the Unity in Diversity: Multicultural Art Show in the Silo Gallery at The Museum of Dufferin.
