About

Tour a home of grandeur - Moorecroft - designed by Toronto architect J.A. Ellis and built by John Cameron in 1896. The house has an irregular asymmetrical silhouette with two storey bays, multi-sloped roofs and tall decorated chimneys, typical of the Queen Ann style. Interior features include a formal dining room with sculpted crown molding, crystal chandelier, and elegant Victorian fireplace. The foyer exhibits highly detailed paneling, and a carved Victorian stair case. Extraordinary stained glass windows, tooled leather wallpaper and intricate joinery of the built-in book cases grace the library.
