About
The Town of East Gwillimbury’s Taste of Culture and Culture Crawl events are coming together as one signature event: Celebrating the Arts. Taking place on September 26, 2026, in alignment with Ontario Culture Days, this vibrant, one-day event invites residents and visitors to experience the rich blend of arts, culture, cuisine, and heritage that define the community.
Presented by the Rice Group, Celebrating the Arts is a dynamic and immersive event designed to foster connection through creativity and cultural expression. Set within the welcoming surroundings of the East Gwillimbury Health & Active Living Plaza and Sharon Museum and Gardens, the event offers a full day of engaging experiences for all ages and interests.
Attendees can enjoy a diverse lineup of live performances, including music, dance, and theatrical showcases that highlight both emerging and established talent. Throughout the event space, local visual artists and artisans will display their work, offering opportunities to explore and purchase unique, handcrafted pieces while engaging directly with the creators behind them.
Celebrating the Arts also embraces the community’s cultural diversity through a variety of culinary experiences and cultural activations. Visitors will have the chance to sample global flavours, participate in interactive workshops, and engage in hands-on creative activities that celebrate different traditions and artistic practices. From storytelling and craft-making to live demonstrations, the event encourages participation and discovery in an inclusive and family-friendly environment.
Celebrating the Arts aims to inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and foster a deeper appreciation for the cultural richness that shapes the community. Whether attending for the performances, the food, the art, or the opportunity to connect, visitors can expect a lively and memorable experience that truly celebrates the creative heart of East Gwillimbury.
