About
School Sidewalk Chalk Challenge is an invitation for the local schools in the Quesnel District to take part in this multi-aged group activity. 2025 will be our 12th Annual School Sidewalk Challenge. This is an outdoor, cooperative, and inexpensive back-to-school art activity that will encourage school/class spirit. The focus is on participation rather than on competition. Chalk is supplied to participating schools, photos of the resulting art work is shared on social media.

The Quesnel and District Community Arts Council (QDCAC) was incorporated on November 21st, 1973, under certificate number S-10568. The Arts Council is a not-for-profit society whose mandate is to initiate, promote, and develop understanding, involvement and support for arts, heritage and culture. This responsibility is fulfilled through advocacy, education, coordination, and communication, for the enrichment of the lives of the people of Quesnel and District.
