About
Please join us to celebrate the opening of our exhibit Riverview: an artist's point of view.
Artists Nadine Flagel, Haley Perry, and Lolu Oyedele with contributions by Coquitlam Heritage team members, Markus Fahrner and Naomi Fong approach themes of mental health, physical separation, and the history of the Riverview Hospital through a range of media ranging from illustration, reclaimed textiles and drawing. The artists' works engage with individual Riverview objects within the CH collection, and the history of Riverview to create an intimate approach to mental health and the physical space of the hospital.
Meet the artists and chat with them about their work. Refreshments will be served.

Coquitlam Heritage
Coquitlam Heritage offers numerous services to Coquitlam’s residents. In addition to yearly exhibits in Mackin House, we offer seasonal tours of the Fraser Mills Train Station and CP Rail 1970’s Caboose in Heritage Square. We also operate year-round as a Tourism Information Centre for the City of Coquitlam.
We provide a variety of events and workshops for all ages. Our collection includes local artifacts of importance as well as the oral histories of community members, making our collection an evolving mosaic that reflects our city.
Our mission is to preserve, honour and promote Coquitlam’s heritage. This mission brings us to many community events and results in various collaborative initiatives. Some of the events we attend and host are: Indigenous Voices, Community Action, BC Dumpling Festival, and Black History Month Family Day.
