About
Join us at Pumpkinville for a captivating performance by Sleepy Jean, the musical persona of Katey Gatta. Her music is a blend of cinematic storytelling reminiscent of a 60s James Bond film, infused with the creative flair of Quentin Tarantino.
Hailing from Welland, Ontario, Gatta's musical journey is deeply rooted in her family's history. Her parents and grandparents escaped Uganda during the tumultuous reign of Idi Amin. Their resettlement in Canada during the 1970s exposed them to a profound culture shock, which has profoundly shaped Gatta's songwriting.
Don't miss this 12:30 p.m. performance by Sleepy Jean at Pumpkinville. For more information and to explore her music on streaming platforms, visit her website at sleepyjeansings.com.
