About

This hands-on cultural event invites participants to create felted soap bars using natural fibres while reflecting on themes of reconciliation, healing, and community care. As part of the process, each participant will also write a short message or commitment on a card—what reconciliation means to them, a teaching they carry, or a message of support for Indigenous peoples. These messages will be displayed together in a public installation as a visual reflection of community commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

Hosted by an Indigenous artist and entrepreneur, this event weaves together land-based knowledge, artistic expression, and public engagement. It offers a gentle, welcoming space to learn, connect, and take tangible steps toward reconciliation. The event is free and open to all, including families, youth, and Elders.
